    President & CEO

    As president and CEO, Jeff has built a reputation for Prime as the best finishes subcontractor in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. Jeff founded the company in 2006 and since the beginning has been doing everything in his power to give each customer the best possible value.

    Jeff leads the team under the philosophy he calls “The Partnership Principle.” This means building solid, understanding relationships with people in the companies we work with. Prime wants to get to know our customers as well as we possibly can, so that we can build trust and effective communication—while we’re building structures. This has become one of Prime’s greatest competitive advantages. Jeff is also dedicated to maintaining high standards and having the most up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the evolving finish options.

    Jeff is involved in a number of different community groups including sitting on the Board of Directors of First Central State Bank, serving as a Taper’s/Painter’s Trade Board Delegate, serving as a Taper’s/Painter’s Apprenticeship committee Trustee and Carpenter’s Apprenticeship committee trustee.

    Jeff, his wife Karen, and their three girls reside in Eldridge. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with family and friends and supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes. Some of his hobbies include golf and coaching his children.

  • Todd Bender


    Todd began his career in the commercial construction industry in 1994 as a level one carpenter, and worked his way to foreman and eventually a general contractor superintendent, where much of his time in the industry has been spent. This has given him the added understanding and expertise to be extremely successful here at Prime. His experience has allowed him to excel as a manager and leader to the guys in the field. He has also been able to form many valuable relationships throughout his different positions over the years.

    Todd has operated as Prime’s superintendent since April of 2011, and has been a very valuable member of the team since joining. Some of the most memorable jobs he has been involved with include: Tri-City Electric Headquarters, Crescent Electric, Muscatine Medical Complex, Dewitt High School Addition, and Augustana Student Life Center.

    Todd lives in Long Grove with his wife Jackie and daughter Mollie. Away from work, he enjoys fishing, both with his family and the occasional trip up north with the “boys”. He has recently taken up bow hunting and likes doing that whenever possible.

  • Travis Zeimet

    Assistant Superintendent

    Travis started with Prime Construction in 2011 as a warehouse coordinator. His work ethic and organizational skills were extremely impressive and he was quickly given the role of assistant superintendent. His main job responsibilities include overseeing warehouse coordination functions, material and tool deliveries, as well as assisting Todd in administering all field operations. His favorite part of his current position is that he continues to learn something new every day.

    Travis graduated from St. Ambrose University with a business management degree. He currently resides in Eldridge and some of his hobbies include baseball, softball and golf.

  • Bob Oster

    Chief Estimator/Project Manager

    Bob has been in the construction industry since 1973. He began his career as a residential plasterer, and over the years, has held positions as a superintendent, estimator, plaster foreman, vice president of a commercial construction company and president of his own plastering business for 15 years. His different experiences have helped him gain a large array of knowledge and expertise.

    Bob is Prime’s chief estimator and project manager. He is responsible for everything from getting the bids together to managing the job to completion. He has proven performance time and time again, and gives a large portion of credit to the partnership principle he operates under. Bob’s demeanor and friendly personality have allowed him to build long-term relationships and consistently give the customer what they are looking for.

    Bob and his wife, Diane, reside in Eldridge. He is very family oriented and enjoys spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He also likes to squeeze in a round of golf whenever he gets the chance.

  • Jason Fahrenkrog

    Estimator/Project Manager

    Jason is one of the original employees of Prime Construction. He has spent over 10 years as a Union Carpenter, with the majority of that time working as a Foreman. With Jason`s experience in the field he provides a wealth of knowledge when it comes to his role as an estimator.

    Jason is a Quad City native and now resides in Eldridge with his wife and two children. In his spare time Jason enjoys watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

  • Chris Juehring

    Painting Division Manager

    Chris brings to Prime Construction Services an extraordinary amount of knowledge and experience of painting, wallcovering, and special coatings. This experience comes from working at all levels of the painting industry for more than 45 years. Chris' career started while working for his father's painting company, "Quality Painters." He has worked in all facets of the business as a laborer, painter, and owner/operator. With this experience and great reputation in the industry, Chris brings great value to Prime Construction Services as the Painting Division Manager.

    Chris is a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities and currently resides in Rock Island, with his wife Michelle. Outside of work, Chris enjoys bike riding, following the Chicago Bears football, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

  • Ashley Dexter

    Accountant/Office Manager

    Ashley started in 2014 as Prime`s accountant. She graduated from St. Ambrose University with a Master`s degree in Business Administration. Ashley is an Eldridge native and currently resides on the family farm. She enjoys playing and coaching sports.
